Car Accidents

 

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) there are approximately six million car accidents per year with many involving serious bodily injury or loss of life. A car accident can permanently or temporarily change or affect your life in a negative way. Workplace Accidents

Dog Bites

 

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) there are approximately 4.5 million dog bites in the U.S each year. Bites may occur due to the negligence of the dog owner. Dog bites may occur from a neighbor’s dog off the leash in your neighborhood, a by passer walking a dog on a leash at the park, a dog accompanying someone eating at a restaurant, etcetera. Section 4:19-16 of the New Jersey Statutes states: “The owner of any dog which shall bite a person while such person is on or in a public place, or lawfully on or in a private place, including the property of the owner of the dog, shall be liable for such damages as may be suffered by the person bitten, regardless of the former viciousness of such dog or the owner's knowledge of such viciousness.” If you have been bitten by a dog, you may be entitled to financial compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering (both physical and mental), and loss of income.
